Israeli Friends of the Tibetan People (IFTIP) was founded in 1989 by a group of Israelis who met Tibetan refugees, whose plight and life stories left a deep impression on them.
The goal of IFTIP is to assist the exiled Tibetan people and to raise public awareness in Israel to the Tibetan struggle for freedom, and to support the Tibetan Government in Exile by providing “human capital” to the Tibetan diaspora through the dispatch of Israeli experts and volunteers in various realms.
IFTIP will inaugurate in Israel an “Illuminated Universal Peace Project” on the occasion of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 80th birthday, in deep gratitude and honour of his untiring commitment and service to the promotion of human values, his promotion of harmony and understanding among the world’s religious traditions and the culture of peace and non-violence.
May His Holiness the Dalai Lama live a long and healthy life!!
