Tibetan Community in Britain

LogoTibCommUKThe first Tibetans came to the UK over 100 years ago, and the Community in Britain was formed in the 1970s to bring its members together, promote Tibetan Culture, foster understanding and friendship beyond the community, educate young people and relieve poverty in the diaspora. With His Holiness visiting twice in 2015, it’s a very important year for Tibetans in the UK.

For His Holiness’ 80th birthday, the Tibetan Community in Britain has planned a special gala dinner on Saturday 4 July at the Royal National Hotel, Russell Square, London W1. The exciting programme will include a string of renowned guest speakers, and a cultural show by Tibetan children and community dance group, plus the amazing Tashi Lhunpo monks from India will bless the occasion with short prayers and Sacred Cham dances. Check out the videos (in English and Tibetan) below and book your tickets by 26 June here.
