Dalai Lama in Australia – Australia Tibet Council

From a small band of volunteers in 1988, today Australia Tibet Council (ATC) is the largest and most active community of Tibet supporters in Australia. We believe Australia, as a country with a deep engagement with China, has the opportunity and the responsibility to help create a better future for Tibet.

We have proved that when individual Australians pull together and take coordinated action, we can be a force for significant change. We must show our government, Tibetans and the international community that we are many and that we want to see change in Tibet.

In June 2015, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be back in Australia, a visit that offers a unique opportunity to grow the Tibet movement in Australian, with public talks in the Blue Mountains, Brisbane and Perth and an address at the Happiness and Its Causes conference in Sydney.  See Dalai Lama In Australia website for full details.

ATC will speak directly to the many thousands of people who will attend events with the Dalai Lama. It’s a rare chance to help them understand the ongoing crisis in Tibet and why it is so important for them to join with other Australians to Stand Up for Tibet.

You can help us by:

  1. Asking your friends to Stand Up for Tibet by joining the ATC Tibet Supporters List to inform themselves about the situation in Tibet and take actions that help..
  2. Donating to help cover the cost of this campaign and make our work for Tibet possible
