Amigos del Tíbet Chile has two chapters; one in Santiago de Chile, the country’s capital, and one in Valdivia, La Unión, southern Chile. Our mission is to highlight the history and culture of Tibet, as well as raise awareness of the Tibetan people’s oppression by the Chinese regime. We support the efforts of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to achieve the cultural and spiritual autonomy of Tibet and to end the systematic violation of human rights inside Tibet.
In Santiago de Chile, Amigos del Tibet will organize a celebration for His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 80th Birthday with a bike rally and an event in one of the most important cultural centers at the City, where Tibet supporters, Dharma Centers and Chilean artists will perform different activities and everyone will be invited to take part in the celebration.
Place: An important Cultural Center, Santiago de Chile
Date: Sunday 5 July 2015, Time : 10:00 – 13:00 hrs.
Program: Bike rally from the Jardín de Tíbet to the Cultural event venue. The Jardín de Tíbet (Tibet Garden) was inaugurated by His Holiness during one of his visits to Chile. At least 50 bicycles will ride with large Tibetan flags, and those who will join us will be provided with headbands and/or T-shirts with Tibetan symbols.
Beside the activities that will be performed at the Cultural venue, we will continuously screen a video compilation of images and quotations by His Holiness. The program will include:
– A brief biography of His Holiness and the meaning of the celebration
– Storytellers reading stories related to the Dalai Lama life to children, who will be invited to illustrate these stories with drawings.
– Music with Tibetan and Indian dancing
– Film and TV personalities from Chile will be invited to give a talk about their feelings towards His Holiness the Dalai Lama
– Prayers and Meditation sessions

Amigos del Tíbet Chile cuenta con dos locaciones; una en Santiago de Chile, la capital del país, y la otra en Valdivia, La Unión al sur de Chile. Nuestra misión es dar a conocer la historia y cultura del Tíbet, así como también crear conciencia sobre la opresión que sufre el pueblo tibetano por parte del régimen chino. Apoyamos la cruzada de Su Santidad el Dalai Lama para conseguir la autonomía cultural y espiritual del Tíbet y poner fin a la violación sistemática de los derechos humanos de los tibetanos.
En Santiago de Chile, Amigos del Tíbet organizará una celebración de cumpleaños para celebrar el cumpleaños 80 de Su Santidad el Dalai Lama con una cicletada y un evento en uno de los centros culturales más importantes de la ciudad, donde los simpatizantes y activistas por Tíbet, los Centros de Dharma y artistas chilenos llevaran acabo diferentes actividades, todos están invitados a participar en esta celebración.

Programa: Cicletada desde el Jardín de Tíbet a la sede del evento cultural. El Jardín de Tíbet fue inaugurado por Su Santidad en una de sus visitas a Chile. Al menos 50 bicicletas viajarán con grandes banderas tibetanas, y aquellos que se unan a nosotros, serán provistos de artículos tales como cintas para la cabeza y/o camisetas con símbolos tibetanos.
Además de una serie de actividades que se realizarán en la sede cultural, vamos a continuamente proyectar un video con imágenes de Su Santidad y algunas de sus citas. El programa incluirá:
– Una breve charla sobre la biografía de Su Santidad y el significado de la celebración
– Un cuentacuentos, los niños escucharán historias relacionadas con la vida del Dalai Lama y al final serán invitados para ilustrar esta historias con dibujos.
– Música, con danzas de Tíbet y de la India
– Famoso del cine y la TV chilenos serán invitados a dar una charla sobre lo que para ellos significa Su Santidad el Dalai Lama
