Annie Lennox is one of the finest and most outstanding musical voices of our time; a singer, songwriter, campaigner and activist who gives her support to many important causes.
Annie’s involvement in the Tibet issue goes back more than 20 years. One of her strongest personal connections was with Ngawang Choephel, a Tibetan musician who was arrested and sentenced to a long prison sentence, accused of being a “spy” for attempting to document traditional music in Tibet. Ngawang (right) was released early following an international campaign that Annie actively supported.
