I, for one, truly believe that individuals can make a difference in society. Since periods of great change such as the present one come so rarely in human history, it is up to each of us to make the best use of our time to help create a happier world.

As an example of a courageous and high achieving Tibet activist, we are delighted to feature this video message from Wasfia Nazreen. Wasfia is a National Geographic Adventurer and is the first Bangladeshi to attempt the seven summits. She climbed Everest – or Chomolungma, to give the mountain its proper Tibetan name – in 2012. Wasfia, who is a former director of Students for a Free Tibet Bangladesh, exemplifies the saying of His Holiness “Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.”
